After looking at it again I realised that some of what we do falls into that category, but we’re simply removing more of the mundane tasks ..

True… website Content Management Systems comes to mind. When website developers/designers created these systems and ultimately relinquished the task of updating their clients’ sites, they most likely said ‘goodbye’ to a nice recurring income. On the other hand… it did give them time/space to focus on more creative endeavours… like erm, playing Battlefield 2 for example!
