Irish Banks + Ecommerce / Internet = Nightmare

by in Business, Thoughts :: Pensieri ::

I’m currently trying to sort out a few things with our bankers. A
couple of the things are minor. They should be easy to sort out.
A couple of the other things are a bit more complicated, so I more or less expect them to be awkward.

However what’s proving to be awkward is actually finding the correct channel to deal with them.

If you speak to the branch about X they’ll refer you to centre Y.
Centre Y refers you back to the branch. So you end up going round in
circles.

And why is it that local branch banks can’t do email?

Why must I go into their offices and waste their time and mine over
simple matters that would have taken a couple of emails to sort out?

I’m getting a small bit frustrated!

You gotta be kidding – Irish banks are slow and inefficient? No way. I don’t believe you.

    I don’t believe it either.
They are so “nice” to me and “always” got sorted out “fast”, the reason I moved banks after 2 years of hell.:)

Just wait until you try their “Business” version of online banking. It’s stunningly bad.

I’ve been using business banking for about 4 years. It’s actually not that bad, though some things make no sense to me at all!

Aye, I must say I’m fairly impressed with business banking on-line, it sure beats having to go into the local branch which is the best part of a 45 minute round trip for me.
Now if only they could make it work in Firefox better I’d be much happier.
