When is a link not a link?
When you can't actually click on it.
Someone started a thread over on CI the other day about NetVisionary nominee Panthius
The footer of the site contains a set of "links" which DO NOT work if you are using a normal browser:
It transpires that the links do work if you use Internet Explorer, which shows how "popular" a browser that is with Irish creative and web professionals!
Regardless of what browser I may or may not be using I'm amazed that someone managed to put together a business website so badly that the links don't work. That takes effort!

It's easier than you think to make non-functioning links, but most of us *test* the website in multiple browsers (I check IE, Firefox, Safari & Opera) and fix it before launch. I know when I did my dad's website (http://www.enchantedwaytours.ie) I ran into lots of problems with differences between Internet Explorer's (broken) & Firefox's (correct) handling of div sizes and positions. It was very easy to end up with a div covering links in the footer in Firefox because the height wasn't defined correctly or the layer stacking was wrong.

The links are fully accessible via keyboard ;-)
@Gary - maybe I'm old fashioned, but I normally check that links work :)
@Richard - are the images meant to be missing??
