Google Pagerank Update Still In Progress

by in Random

There was a time when a Google PageRank update took but a few days to complete, but the current update seems to have been dragging on for ages. An alternative theory being that they’ve moved the model completely OR that they had to redo it…
In any case I’ve just been informed that IWF *should* get a PR of 4!
Why do I care?
I can think of a couple of reasons, but the most obvious one is monetisation. Low PR sites are harder to monetise using TLA

They surely are considering you need a PR of 4 or greater to get accepted… Though they never mentioned that in the early stages…

That seems to be the case, though I think you may find that if you have good links back and Alexa rank that they will overlook it

Anthony, Google PR has been blimping about the shop for the past 2 weeks. The have announced they’re updating their systems.

Bloody hell, my blog has a PR of 5, now, apparently. I think it was 3 last time I checked (a few years back). FindMeATune stays stubbornly at 4 :(

My blog has a PR of 3:)
Hopefully I will get accepted for TLA. Does anyone know what the minimum payment is?

Rob – it still hasn’t settled down 100%…
Cormac – Minimum payment for a link or minimum payment to you per month?

    From their site:
“Payments are sent to publishers the first of every month with a $25 minimum payout.”
Since I joined I’ve never had any issue making the minimum payment and they generally pay punctually (in my experience)
I’d love to hear about people’s experiences with their RSS advertising product, as I haven’t sold a single space yet :)
