Websites that do not display or function correctly in browsers other than Internet Explorer are very irritating.
Yesterday afternoon I tried to book a driving test online. While the site displayed perfectly in Firefox the order form did not work correctly, so I was forced to use Internet Explorer to complete the booking.
It’s 2006! Surely high profile websites are tested against “other” browsers these days?
I’ve started a thread on this just to see what other sites people come across. If you know of any please feel free to add them.

Broken Websites

From keith bohanna:
Good idea – with Firefox and associated browsers at 10% ish there is little excuse left. In fairness I do not find too many sites these days that do not work on FF – however I will post them to the forum as I come across them as well as sending them to Moz

From Ken McGuire:
try doing your banking in firefox… not gonna happen! (bank of ireland business online)
From keith bohanna:
Thats interesting Ken cause I have used FireFox for BOI (domestic) online and also the AIB and Ulster Bank online services as well. Maybe the BOI business service has an additional security feature that knocks it?

From Ken McGuire:
true, the domestic accounts work fine. i spoke to BOI about it recently and all i got was…
“ah yeah… doesn’t work in that, you’ll need the normal one”
assuming that translates into
“Our apologies Mr. McGuire but your current version of Firefox will not work with Business Online, therefore we suggest you use Internet Explorer which can be found by going Start > All Progra….”
Bottom line, when you try loading up the BOL site, it freezes with a “loading…” box – end of story. Could be security but I wasn’t too pushed in finding out…
From michele:
AIB personal works fine. AIB business does not.
It’s one of the reasons I still have Windows installed on my desktop pcs
